Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, in a statement to the press before his meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels, stressed that “Ukraine is a member of the European family and Italy will continue to support it.”
The Italian Prime Minister thanked the President of the Commission for her effective action.
“The EU must also maintain its unity with regard to the reception of refugees and the protection of the energy security of citizens and businesses,” he added.
Tonight, Mario Draghi will have a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Solz, while on Wednesday he will meet in Rome with the Prime Minister of Poland, Matthew Marawiecki.
