After the end of his cabinet, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi said that, finally, “the reduction of fuel taxes will reach 25 cents per liter”. The original plan of the government of Rome, provided for a reduction of 10 cents per liter.
The Italian Prime Minister, at the same time, stressed that the total of these new measures (support for low-income households, the possibility of settling business accounts, assistance in the fisheries, transport and agriculture sectors) will reach 4.4 billion euros. The Italian Prime Minister clarified that almost all this amount will result from the extraordinary taxation of the super profits recorded by the companies in the energy sector.
“In today’s meeting with the Prime Ministers of Greece, Spain and Portugal on energy, we agreed that it is important to adopt a common position at the next European Summit. We mean to go to the Summit with this common position, and “to defend it, all together,” said the Italian prime minister.
“The Ukrainian crisis is a European crisis and deserves European answers in many areas, such as gas, raw materials and defense,” concluded Mario Draghi.
The Italian government has finally decided that the country’s public administration should replace the “antivirus” programs produced and sold by the Russian Federation.
