Dramatic Landing of a Small Aircraft on a Golf Stadium in Sydney – Watch Video

Panic scenes unfolded on Sunday at noon at the Mona Vale Golf Club seaside, in the northern suburbs of Sydney, when a lightweight Piper PA-28-140 Cherokee aircraft crashed during a training flight. Inside were a pilot-trainer and a trainee, both about 50 years old, who fortunately got out of the aircraft with slight injuries. A video released on social media records the moment the plane flies low over the stadium, loses height and falls on the ground, while pieces break down as it crawls on the grass until it is stopped. The video sounds a deafening noise, as well as the frightened eyewitness reactions. Golf players immediately ran to the point to help, with one of them falling heavily in his attempt to quickly reach the aircraft.
