Drastic cuts from UN to plans to provide humanitarian aid due to lack of funds

The UN today announced a drastic review of its plans to provide humanitarian aid around the world this year due to “the worst cuts that have ever hit the humanitarian sector”. Based on the new plans, the UN is now demanding $ 29 billion – from $ 44 billion – for 2025 and will give an “great priority” to assistance to 114 million people, according to the UN Humanitarian Coordination Office (OCHA).
