My father was from the Navy, so he traveled between the United States and the Dominican Republic, instead my mother was here in Italy, so she was even further away ». He lived with the older brothers and saw his parents only at Christmas. Upon the death of his father, he, the smallest of the brothers, followed his mother in Italy when he was six. The first thing that struck him of Italy was the cold. The dance was his anchor of salvation in a new country.
