A Swiss man was arrested today in the northeast Spain after driving for 30 kilometers upside down on a highway with a passenger ένα corpse.
The 66-year-old man was on his way to France, but when he found out that there were police officers at the border checking, he turned around and started moving in the opposite direction of traffic.
According to the announcement of the Catalan police, after ignoring the instructions of the police for 30 kilometers, he entered a side street and a little later crashed, at a distance of about 20 kilometers from Girona.
When the police finally approached to see what had happened, they were surprised to find that the co-driver was a dead man.
A police spokeswoman said it may have been the 66-year-old’s partner, who was also a Swiss citizen. However, they did not find any indication that his death was due to a criminal act.
The driver was arrested and charged only with traffic violation.
