The images show moving lights in the night sky. The nature and origin of the objects have not been clarified to date.
“I told you that one day we would see. They’re here. Run! Just look at the sky. They don’t stop coming. Look at that. They are not fireworks. I’ve been here for half an hour and the light hasn’t stopped coming on. Look how uneven it is. That’s not a balloon either. There are three there that are forming a triangle. Those are ships, folks. A pleasure, ships!”, described a woman, recording around ten luminous points in the air of Recreio.

UFO cases disclosed in 2024
In 2024, the National Archives released a series of reports of sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) made by pilots in Brazil to the Aeronautics Space Operations Command.
In 2023 alone, around 30 registrations were made by pilots to the Air Force. The majority of records were in the south of the country, especially in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.
