Three drug traffickers from Minas Gerais were arrested on Vidigal beach, in the south of Rio de Janeiro, on the afternoon of last Monday (23).
According to the police, the drug traffickers are from the city of Ipanema, in Minas Gerais, and were hiding in the Complexo da Maré. After the last operation in the community, they fled from there and began to be monitored by the authorities.
After integrated intelligence work by the teams, the agents managed to locate the group.
The investigation also revealed that one of the prisoners is a leader of drug trafficking in the city of Minas Gerais and had open arrest warrants for homicide and association with drug trafficking.
The action involved the Civil Police of Minas Gerais and agents from the 19th police station in Tijuca, the 10th DP in Botafogo and the 14th DP in Leblon to capture the suspects.
In this action, agents served arrest warrants for drug trafficking and sent the group to the prison system.
