A driver who had drunk alcohol and did not have a license was charged and detained by the Federal Highway Police (PRF) on the afternoon of last Saturday (30), in Salgueiro, in the Sertão of Pernambuco, after trying to escape and hide in a van parked on the banks of the road. from BR-232.
The driver disobeyed a stop order and almost ran over a police officer during the stop.
According to the PRF, the incident occurred during a routine inspection on the highway.
According to the information, the police signaled the driver to stop the vehicle, who ignored the order and began to escape with dangerous maneuvers. During the journey, the car had one of its tires punctured when it went through a hole.
Unable to continue, the man abandoned the vehicle and ran towards a van parked near a workshop, in an attempt to hide. The PRF team, however, managed to locate him.
After the capture, it was found that the driver did not have a license and showed signs of intoxication.
The breathalyzer test confirmed the presence of 0.80 mg/l of alcohol in the blood, constituting a traffic crime, according to the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB).
The driver received a fine of R$2,934.70 and was taken to the Salgueiro Civil Police Station.
