Young Bruna Foschiera Pereira, aged 21, died on Saturday (12) after being run over by a drunk driver on the MT-160, in São José do Rio Claro.
The 35-year-old man was arrested for intentional homicide and attempted murder after crashing his car into two motorcycles, also leaving two young people injured.
According to survivors, the confusion began at a junction at the exit to Nova Maringá, where a group of young people were listening to music and drinking alcohol.
After a fight, the driver chased the victims and collided with the motorcycles. Bruna was thrown off the track and died in hospital. The two boys, aged 19 and 21, suffered minor injuries.
The suspect was taken to the police station, where he claimed to have lost control of the vehicle, but showed clear signs of intoxication.
