A dry air mass predominates in most of Brazil on Monday (25). The atmospheric blockade remains active over the country, preventing the advance of cold fronts.
According to Climatempo, the week starts with rain only in the extremes of Brazil, such as in the south of Rio Grande do Sul and on the north coast of the country and east of the Northeast. The other areas remain very dry and polluted, with a predominance of sun and high temperatures for winter standards.
In the North and Northeast, there is no forecast of changes in relation to the previous days. The northeastern interior and the south of the Amazon remain very dry and sunny. In the North, the rain is concentrated in the north of Amazonas and Pará, including the capitals Manaus and Belém. They are isolated blows that, occasionally, can come with moderate to strong intensity, with lightning and gusts of wind.
The risk of storms is higher in the states of Roraima and Amapá. In the Northeast, it rains moderately to heavy on the coast of Maranhão and on the east coast, mainly in Porto Seguro, Bahia, and the east of Pernambuco. Winds in the Region, with gusts of up to 60 km/h.
In the Southeast, there is only forecast of rain on the north coast of EspÃrito Santo. Some clouds even pass over São Paulo, especially between Baixada Santista and the south coast, but there are no conditions for rain. The sun comes out and the weather stands firm.
In other areas of the Southeast, including the capitals, the day starts with a feeling of cold, but the sun appears throughout the morning and predominates. It doesn’t rain in any capital and the relative humidity of the air remains low. As it hasn’t rained for several days, the air is still very dry and polluted, so it’s important to take extra care with hydration.
The Midwest remains sunny and very dry. The relative humidity of the air is below 20% in practically all areas, which is already considered a state of alert. In addition to the low air humidity, the soil humidity is also very low, which may favor the increase in fires in this long dry period. As for temperatures, the heat continues.
In the South, the day starts with rain in the southern areas of Rio Grande do Sul, but it loses strength by the end of the morning. The entire region will continue without rain throughout the day. Some clouds will pass along the coast of the three states, but they are not clouds associated with rain. The capitals will have a sunny Monday, with heat in the afternoon and no rain.
