Dua Lipa responds to criticism about being the “queen of vacation”

During a new interview, Dua Lipa countered the criticism he constantly receives from the web about appearing to be “always on vacation”. The singer, who launched the “Radical Optimism” third studio album, this Friday (3), traveled to many places around the world after finishing the tour “Future Nostalgia” in 2022.

Cover of the North American magazine Elle of the month of May, Dua Lipa recalled the trips she took to places like the Mediterranean and India in 2023. By publishing photos of her trips on Instagram, the artist became known as “Vacanza Queen” (“Queen of Holidays”, in literal translation).

Some reviews of her new album also point out Dua's great time traveling.

“I’ve been busy for almost 10 years,” she told the outlet. “Every day, I have some work to do. But people are going to say something anyway. People say a lot of mean things about a lot of people. And if being 'Vacanza Queen' is what I'm getting, then I'll take it. Whether I’m performing or going out, if it’s not fun, I don’t want it.”

“You have to make space for joy. The world may be on fire, but damn… if you didn't spend part of your life trying to be happy, I don't know what you did,” added the pop star.

This Friday (3), Dua Lipa released her third studio album, “Radical Optimism”. Altogether, they are 11 new songs . The release comes four years after his last album, “Future Nostalgia” airing in 2020.
