Vivo, which recently announced its long-awaited first foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold, has announced that it is now available for sale in China.
The Vivo X Fold features an 8.03-inch E5 LTPO OLED 3.0 display with UTG protective glass that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen has a resolution of 2K and an aspect ratio of 4:3.5. It also supports HDR10+ and covers 113% of the DCI P3 color gamut. The X Fold screen has set or broken 19 DisplayMate A+ records, and the hinge has been certified by TUV Rheinland for 300,000 flex/extension cycles.
The secondary screen is equipped with a 6.53-inch E5 OLED panel with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, 100% DCI P3 color gamut and 21:9 aspect ratio. Both screens have embedded front cameras.
The smartphone is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 single-chip system, which works with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash memory. The phone is equipped with a quad camera with Zeiss logo, as well as the main image sensor Samsung GN5 with a resolution of 50 megapixels with optical stabilization. Additionally installed sensors with a resolution of 48, 12 and 5 megapixels. The latter should provide a 60x zoom.
Vivo X Fold received Android 12 and a 4600 mAh battery with support for 66 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and NFC modules.
