Citizens School in Dubai is the first in the Middle East to accept Bitcoin and Ether for tuition.
For the first students, Citizens School will open its doors in September 2022. The school promises to offer flexible tuition payment options, in addition to traditional forms and interest-free monthly payment options.
The Directorate declares that payments can be made in BTC and ETN. The elite school aims to get kids excited about innovation and become an incubator of entrepreneurial ideas for the global digital economy, says Citizens School founder Dr. Adil Alzarooni:
“Some time ago, cryptocurrency was just a specific term for advanced investors. However, today it is becoming popular, changing the traditional financial system, and Citizens School is similarly changing the approach, rethinking every element of the educational process. By offering new forms of payment, we look forward to enhancing the role of younger generations in the digital economy of the UAE. Our graduates will become the entrepreneurs and investors of tomorrow.”
The shift to crypto payments follows the recent adoption by the Dubai government of the first law regulating virtual assets. The authorities promise to create a safe and advanced legal framework for investors.
