Dubai has new Michelin-starred restaurants in 2023

One of the most visited destinations in the world, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, had its list of restaurants Michelin guide Updated this Tuesday (23).

The second edition of the city guide, the update covers 90 restaurants representing 23 different cuisines. Of the total, one restaurant went from one to two Michelin stars while three houses raised the first star .

Three new names have also been added to the category Bib Gourmand which evaluates good quality and good price – last year there were 14, now there are 17 houses with this seal in the city.

“Dubai has many diverse culinary concepts, from Peruvian to Emirati, modern French, traditional British to contemporary Japanese, ensuring everyone feels at home. We are delighted to witness its gastronomic growth on an international scale”, said the international director of the Michelin Guides, Gwendal Poullennec in a statement.

Famous for bringing together trendy chefs and internationally recognized restaurant units, Dubai is one of the most popular destinations in the world and received around 4.67 million visitors in the first quarter of this year alone, according to the city’s tourism agency.

Before with a star, the Indian Tresind Studio it now has two Michelin stars. Commanded by chef Himanshu Saini the house is located on the rooftop of Nakheel Mall, a luxury shopping center on the artificial island of Palm Jumeirah.

“Being recognized with such distinction is a surreal feeling and we are certainly without words to describe our emotions”, celebrated the restaurant’s official profile on Instagram.

With that, the restaurant, which has “highly original, precise and sometimes intriguing dishes”, according to the guide, joins the Il Ristorante – Niko Romito and to STAY by Yannick Alleno other houses that received two stars last year and that continue this year with the same distinction.

The list of restaurants with a Michelin star gained three new features. Under the baton of the chef Rahul Rana O avatar it has a completely vegetarian menu and is located on the second floor of the five star hotel Voco.

O Dinner by Heston Blumenthal , located on the first floor of the Atlantis hotel, The Royal, also achieved its first star. The house presents a modern menu of dishes inspired by British history – the original unit, in London, has two Michelin stars.

Finally, the moonrise from the chef Solemann Haddad , also enters the account. The 12-seat restaurant operates in the omakase style and is located on the rooftop of Eden House, a luxurious residential tower on Sheikh Zayed Road. The experience features dishes that highlight Middle Eastern ingredients and culinary stories.

In addition to the 14 restaurants with the Bib Gourmand seal highlighted in last year’s list, another three joined the update. Are they: 21 grams a bistro with a menu inspired by Balkan cuisine, 3Fils of contemporary Asian cuisine, and the Aamara of modern Indian cuisine.

Also noteworthy are two houses that received a green star, which recognizes sustainable efforts. Are they the Mouth Mediterranean cuisine that uses renewable energy and excels in waste management, and the teible focusing on innovation and seasonality of ingredients.

The second edition of the guide was unveiled on Tuesday (23) at an event at Atlantis, The Royal, a luxurious resort opened earlier this year with a highly commented concert by singer Beyoncé.
