The source reports that due to the shortage of electronic components, AvtoVAZ is making efforts to minimize losses in the production of cars. Initially, there was information that the manufacturer planned new versions of Lada Granta and Niva without anti-lock braking system (ABS) and other electronic systems.
This required changes in technological processes, a slight reorientation of suppliers and changes in the technical regulations. Presumably, the cars should be ready for serial production in May this year. This will allow, even in the absence of electronic components, to quickly launch these cars along the conveyor.

According to Avtograd news, test cars Lada Niva Legend without ABS system are already being sent from the territory of AvtoVAZ Research and Development Center. Off-road vehicles are sent to the NAMI test site in Dmitrov for certification tests. The source said that this is a temporary measure aimed at maintaining production, and also added that for cars on the B0 platform (Lada XRAY, Largus, Logan, Sandero) and Vesta, this version is not provided.
Yesterday it became known that AvtoVAZ will release special versions of Lada with alternative components that will be less affected by imported components. The manufacturer said that they will become available to customers in the coming months, but did not give details.
