During the December holidays, get to know the Museum of Dinosaurs in Peirópolis, in MG

Peirópolis, in the rural district of Uberaba, in Minas Gerais, is home to a group of dinosaurs of various species. The site, which is close to the Serra do Veadinho hill region, is well known for the finds of several vertebrate fossils in good condition.

To characterize a new species, researchers in the field of taxonomy, the science that involves the description and classification of organisms, seek to find details in the physiology of each specimen.

Enthusiasts of the Jurassic period can visit, in Peirópolis, the Dinosaur Museum from the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM). The space has exhibitions that include didactic collections of paleontology.
