The ban imposed on mobile phones and other electronic devices in Dutch schools has improved students’ concentration, a survey conducted by the Dutch government. The three -quarters of the 317 high schools involved in the survey said the ban had a positive impact on the gathering of students. In addition, almost two -thirds have made an improvement in the social environment within their schools, and a third observed better academic performance than students. “Less distraction, more attention to the lesson and more social students. No longer having mobile phones in the classroom has fantastic positive consequences. It is very good that schools are making efforts in this direction, “said Deputy Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Mariel Paul. The measure came into force in January 2024 and applies to Primary Schools. Source: RES
