The US dollar index (DXY), which measures the value of the US dollar (USD) compared to six main currencies, continues its loss streak per ninth consecutive day. The DXY is quoted around 96.70, marking new minimums since March 2022, during the Asian hours of Tuesday.

Traders are probably waiting for US employment data during the week, including the data of the purchasing managers index (PMI) ISM manufacturing ISM of JUNE that will be published later on Tuesday. The labor market figures would help define the Federal Reserve Policies (FED) of the US for July.

The US dollar extends its loss streak in the middle of the growing uncertainty about the Federal Reserve Policies (FED) for July. According to the White House, the US president, Donald Trump, has formally filed complaints about the high interest rates to the president of the Federal Reserve (Fed), Jerome Powell, criticizing Powell for being “too late.” This renewed pressure on the Fed occurs as the first impacts of tariffs have already begun to raise the underlying inflation in the short term, as shown in the increase in the price index of personal consumption expenditure (PCE) last week.

Traders adopt caution before a broad draft tax and expenses that are currently being considered in the Senate, which could add 3.3 billion dollars to national debt. The president of the United States, Donald Trump, published in Truth Social on Monday, “A great and beautiful bill advances very well!” The Trump administration has reduced costs, very substantially, for the US consumer. There has never been anything like this!
