€ 1 million donation from the United Group for the victims of the war in Ukraine

United Group, the leading provider of telecommunications and media services in Southeast Europe, has announced that it is donating € 1 million to two non-governmental organizations to provide humanitarian assistance to the victims of the Ukraine war.

The amount of the donation will be shared between the NGO “International Medical Corps”, which specializes in providing immediate medical care and related services to those in emergency, and the Ukrainian “Bright Kids Charity”, which specializes in providing assistance to children with health problems and disabilities.

The United Group is deeply shocked by the war and the devastating consequences that Ukraine and its citizens continue to suffer, and stands by the side of the innocent victims and the victims.

The United Group donation comes to alleviate those affected by the war, namely refugees, families who have not been able to escape war zones, and children in orphanages and hospitals.

The amount that will be allocated will be used to cover basic needs such as medical equipment, medicines, food, hygiene products.

This donation from United Group, the parent company of Nova and Wind, is a continuation of previous support actions. In particular, Nova and Wind joined forces and through the non-profit organization “All Together We Can” collected basic items for shipment to Ukraine, while, in cooperation with the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum, provide SIM cards to refugees arriving in the country. and at the same time is in consultation with the competent authorities for the provision of free Wi-Fi in refugee accommodation. At the same time, responding to a request from ESIEA, they provided telecommunications equipment to the Union of Ukrainian Journalists. Finally, for their subscribers, Nova and Wind continue to offer free calls to and from Ukraine.
