“The accuracy of Mitsotakis and the tax surpluses are devouring the income of the productive forces, in order to fuel daily the obscene profit and the excess profits of the oligopolies”, argues the head of the Finance Department of the SYRIZA PS, Efi Ahtsioglou.
She mentions in particular in her statement that “the data of the execution of the Budget in the 7th month confirm that the citizens pay twice the accuracy of Mitsotakis, on the one hand with the exorbitant electricity tariffs, the increases in fuel, food and other goods and on the other hand through the tax surpluses because of the extreme valuations”. He notes that “tax revenues have increased by 5.8 billion euros compared to last year and VAT revenues have increased by 2.4 billion euros”. Following this, he comments that “the citizens themselves are paying dearly for the fiscal space that the government every now and then trumpets that it “finds” and turns into subsidies for the energy cartel, while at the same time it refuses to impose a ceiling on the prices of electricity and natural gas, the reduction of VAT on food and VAT on fuel”.
Mrs. Ahtsioglou states that “as long as the country is dragged along by the parastatal methods of the government, as long as the income of the citizens is distributed to satisfy oligopolies, the political change becomes more imperative”.
