The electronic application for a supplementary pension due to disability was launched today on the e-EFKA website, according to an announcement by the institution. With the implementation of this electronic procedure, all new applications for supplementary pensions (old age, disability and transfer due to death) of the private sector are now made electronically on the website of e-EFKA.
Within the next period, the corresponding electronic application for the insured of the public sector will be put into operation.
With the electronic application for auxiliary due to disability, the obligation of our disabled fellow citizens to visit the e-EFKA branches for the submission of the necessary supporting documents is abolished. At the same time, when an insured person submits electronically the request for receiving the main pension, he / she can submit an electronic request for receiving the supplementary pension on the same day. The digitization of the process eliminates the inconvenience of the insured – especially the most vulnerable – and at the same time significantly accelerates the issuance of supplementary pensions.
The electronic application for a supplementary pension for all three categories (old age, disability, transfer due to death) concerns thousands of insured persons. Indicatively, the total number of applications for the issuance of supplementary pensions of the private sector submitted to the branches in 2021 exceeded 100,000.
The electronic submission process for the three categories
For the access to the electronic service “Submission of Application for the award of supplementary pension” the user enters either through the Single Digital Portal gov.gr, or through the website of e-EFKA (https://www.efka.gov.gr) and follows the route:
– Online services => Retirees => electronic submission of Retirement Application
(https://www.efka.gov.gr/el/syntaxioychoi/aitisi)
Next, he selects the category he is interested in and completes the screens that appear. The majority of the required documents are obtained through interoperability with the Citizens’ Registry and other Public Sector bodies. If required, the relevant service structure will contact the applicant on a case-by-case basis for any deficiencies identified.
In the next period, the applications for supplementary pensions of the public sector will be digitized, namely:
1. The submission of an application for the transfer of a supplementary pension due to death for public sector pensioners.
2. The submission of a request due to disability.
