The city of São Paulo will no longer accept the E-Fácil card to pay the fare on public transport in the capital. The measure takes effect from January 1, 2022, informed the Department of Transport and Urban Mobility.
Those who still have a card of this type should migrate to the common Single Ticket, including transferring the remaining balance. It is possible to purchase the Ticket after registering on the SPTrans website (www.sptrans.com.br/cadastro).
If the user has both cards, it is possible to transfer the E-Fácil balance to the Bilhete Único also on the SPTrans portal (https://www.sptrans.com.br/trocabilhete). The transfer or issuance of the 1st copy of the Single Ticket is free of charge for the passenger.
According to the City of São Paulo, the E-Fácil lost its use with the closing of parking lots with agreements to encourage the integration between the car and the chosen transport system.
