E Ink, an electrophoretic display company, has partnered with TPV Technology, a monitor and TV company, to unveil color electronic signage. It targets the transportation and retail industries.
In April 2021, partners released a 7.3-inch eTable sign. The new model measures 25.3 inches. It uses E Ink Spectra 3100 technology to produce color images using four colors: black, white, red and yellow. The manufacturer refers to the advantages of the panel as high contrast and color saturation. The screen is suitable for use as a traffic sign, for displaying warnings, reminders, notifications of changes in the schedule and other messages addressed to travelers. In retail applications, it can be used as a POS signage to attract the attention of consumers with its vibrant reds and yellows.
Allegedly, the product has already been tested by system integrators such as the Japanese company CREA and the Polish Ledatel Group. Partners do not disclose its price.
