EA introduced Need for Speed Unbound: with cops, graffiti and insane list of cars

Just yesterday, leaked information about the upcoming Need for Speed Unbound appeared on the Internet – insiders shared several posters and details of the new racing simulator. And today, October 6, EA employees officially unveiled Unbound, confirming the leaked data and telling a lot of new information. Firstly, as the providers of classified information said, the new part of the popular franchise went into the style of anime with many bright narrative elements, characteristic drawing of characters in the storyline, rather catchy tuning and more. However, it cannot be said that the race looks bad – such cardinal changes only benefited it.

Secondly, Need for Speed Unbound is being developed on the proprietary Frostbite engine to provide the audience with the smoothest gameplay, high frame rate and 4K resolution. It is worth noting that the developers made a special emphasis on 4K resolution and 60 FPS – precisely because of the desire to provide a smooth picture in modern resolution, the race comes out exclusively on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There will be no release on the old generation of consoles, since the hardware is too weak there. Thirdly, in the new race, the developers approached the gameplay in an unusual way – now the game is conditionally divided into a single player campaign and multiplayer.

It will be possible to play a single game without connecting to the Internet (pirates are already rubbing their hands), but playing multiplayer without a network will no longer work. At the same time, the storyline will not be connected in any way with multiplayer – even the currency that can be obtained for a more premium edition of the game only works online. And, of course, in online battles, racers will show each other their cool cars, bright characters and other decorative things – apparently, there will be a lot of built-in donations, but so far this is just an assumption.

And fourthly, for the first time in many years, the developers from EA have come up with something really interesting. Now, in a single player game, the user will be able to adjust the activity of the police – for example, if the gamer does not like to get away from the chase or the cops prevent you from getting to the finish line first, you can turn off the police altogether. But there will also be two items in the settings – moderate police activity and maximum. This will allow you to customize the game the way the user wants, and comfortably fight for the championship. And the very fact of the presence of the police already raises the mood.
