Earth Day: see productions about the importance of taking care of the planet

This Monday (22), we celebrate the International Earth Day a date chosen to raise awareness about the importance of preservation of the planet .

Earth Day was first set on April 22 during the 1970s, at an environmental forum that brought together 20 million people to protest pollution in the United States. Popular mobilization was essential for the first legislation against pollution and deforestation to be approved.

In 2009, the United Nations included the date in its calendar, as a way of promoting sustainable development and combating climate change worldwide.

To celebrate International Earth Day, the CNN separated five documentary productions that help understand the importance of preserving our planet.
