The death toll following Taiwan's 7.4-magnitude earthquake has risen to 10, according to Taiwan's National Fire Agency (NFA). The person was found on the Littile Zhuilu trail this Thursday (4).
The NFA also reported that 663 people remain trapped after the earthquake that hit Hualien, in the north of the island.
At least 1,067 people were injured, according to the agency.
On Wednesday (3), more than 200 people were in shelters across Hualien County and 10,000 families were without water.
Dozens of people were also trapped in mines across the region on Wednesday.
More than 60 people were trapped at the Heping open-pit mine in Hualian. The NFA said they were all safely evacuated around noon local time on Thursday.
Seven people were trapped in the Zhonghe mine. The NFA said six people were rescued from the mine located in a quarry.
