Earthquake in Bosnia-Herzegovina, also felt in Italy

Earthquake in the southern area of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A shock of magnitude 5.7with its epicenter southeast of Mostar and 5 kilometers deep (according to preliminary estimates), was revealed by all detection centers around 23.07: according to the ESMC (European-Mediterranean Seismological Center) it was distinctly warned for over 400 kilometers, then also in many areas of Italy.

Especially long the Adriatic coast, where the switchboard of Fire Brigadeor it started ringing wildly. Reports have come from Pescara, Chieti, Giulianova, Vast and other cities: the people – above all on the upper floors buildings – they realized that the earth was shaking. The population of Pozzuoli and neighboring municipalities, which for over a year have had to deal with one seismic swarm linked to bradyseism, stormed the websites of theIngv (National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology) andVesuvian Observatory. In Campania, as in the rest of Italy, fortunately no damage was reported to things or people, while in Bosnia unfortunately there would be one dead and some wounded.

The victim, according to the regional media, is a young woman of Stolacdied in hospital in Mostar for the wounds reported due to collapses in his home. On social networks there are several videos that they shoot fallen rubble and frightened people in the street. Local authorities speak of possible structural damage to old buildings, but which can only be verified with the light of day.
