A woman and a child were pulled alive from the rubble on Sunday, six days after earthquake in Turkey, by a team of rescuers from El Salvador in Cehit Aileleri, in the south, El Salvador’s President Naguib Bukele announced.
“The rescue team of El Salvador, with the support Turks lifeguards, managed to rescue two survivors, a woman and a child, after more than 150 hours under the rubble,” President Bukele wrote on Twitter.
It’s about him Melih Efe Ozcan, a child about 5 years old and Denise Dahl, a woman in her 30s, who were hospitalized, he added.
The president attached to his message a video showing a motionless child being pulled from the rubble by rescuers from El Salvador and placed on a stretcher, while screams and cries can be heard from people around the scene.
The video then shows a woman who she manages to move her arms and she too is freed, before rescuers put a neck collar on her and put her on a stretcher.

The rescue took place on Sunday morning under the ruins of the Ebrar Citesi Hazal Apartments building, in Sehit Aileleri, Kahramanmaras municipality in southern Turkey, according to the presidency of El Salvador.
“Authorities announced that the child had symptoms of hypothermia”according to the presidency.
El Salvador sent a team of 100 rescuers to Turkey on Wednesday, including 58 search and rescue specialists, 42 firefighters and doctors and several dogs.
