The Greek rescuers completed their mission in Turkey. They recovered five trapped alive and unfortunately also dead from the wreckage of Antioch.
In total, 36 rescuers attempted and as reported late in the afternoon, the ERT envoy, Elvira Krithari, the operations are in the so-called “5th stage”, gradually, that is, they go towards completion.
The Greek rescuers according to ERT they continued the search in Antioch all night. A few hours before their task was completed, they were called to another operation, in an apartment building in Hatay, to locate a 24-year-old athlete, but unfortunately to no avail.
In the presence of Nikos Dendias, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu greeted the EMAK men and he thanked them for their efforts from the outset and seven days after the earthquake hit.
