The development seems to be tragic for the Greeks missing in Antioch who are under the rubble of a building that collapsed like… paper after the earthquake of 7.8 Richter that “hit” her Turkey.
As Mega’s Live News reported a while ago, EMAK stopped operating at the site after no sign of life was detected.
“No one came to help us”
The daughter of the missing couple, speaking on the Mega show shortly before the tragic development, said: “It is possible that they will be found, because my parents lived on the fifth floor. The apartment building has 6 floors, my parents lived on the fifth floor. No one came to help us. There is no sound from the area so we were told we cannot help you. The Greek mission started today at 11 o’clock. But it’s too late, too late. I don’t know why they took so long. We called the Embassy in Ankara. We called in Dubai. We told them that there are two Greek citizens in Antioch, nobody came until yesterday for two or three hours”.
For his part, the couple’s son-in-law stated that: “We never stop hoping. Even at the last minute we hope for the best. From the first day I arrived my wife and I were yelling all day. We were trying to talk to them but we couldn’t hear any sound.”
