Efforts to save her continue 24-year-old woman trapped in Antioch because of the killer earthquakewith the Greek EMAK that had moved to Turkey to undertake the investigations, at the request of her brother.
According to ERT, the efforts continue in the evening, while Mr the girl’s brother personally requested that the initiative be removed from the competence of the Turks rescuers and to come under the control of the Greeks.
It is recalled that the 24-year-old who is an athlete asked for help via sms from the wreckage. In particular, she had managed to notify the Civil Protection of the exact spot where she is and that there are other living people near her.
It is noted that the Greek EMAK, which has moved to Turkey, together with 4 crews from abroad are operating in Antioch, as voices were heard in the debris after 132 hours from the moment the deadly earthquake occurred.
As reported by ERT, the voices are heard from the ruins of a collapsed building in the area, while several people are said to be trapped. Specifically, from the side of the Greek mission, 25 rescuers from the 1st and 2nd EMAK, a dog, 5 medical and paramedical personnel of the EKAV are working, while among others a rescue crew from Brazil and two from Turkey are participating. Also, based on information, the missions made vertical penetration at two different points using geophones and rescue dogs.
