Earthquake in Turkey: Testimony for a trapped Greek – “In the first days they heard his voices, now nothing”

Testimony that a Greek man and his wife are trapped in the ruins of a building in Antioch that collapsed from the deadly earthquake in Turkey comes to light.

According to what was reported on Ant1’s main news bulletin, the Greek man and his wife of Syrian origin have been in the rubble since the first day of his earthquake and while they initially heard their voices now nothing is heard.

The couple’s son-in-law, according to the same report, makes a dramatic appeal to the rescuers to rush to the scene so that no hope is lost that they will be retrieved alive.

The correspondent of Ant1, Anna Andreou reported, among other things: “We have just been informed that a Greek citizen is also under the rubble. He is married to an orthodox Syrian and they live next door to the building across the street from me. As his son-in-law, who is married to the couple’s daughter, informed me, it has been under rubble since day one. In the first days, they also heard their voices but could not get them out. Now they hear nothing. They have also contacted the Greek consulate and asked for help. They are waiting for help from the Greek team that is here. His son-in-law makes a dramatic appeal to the rescuers.”
