The apartment building has 6 floors, my parents lived on the fifth floor. No one came to help us. There is no sound from the area so we were told we cannot help you. The Greek mission started today at 11 o’clock. But it’s too late, too late. I don’t know why they took so long. We called the Embassy in Ankara. We called in Dubai. We told them that there are two Greek citizens in Antioch, nobody came until yesterday for two or three hours”.

For his part, the couple’s son-in-law said: “We don’t stop hoping. Even at the last minute we hope for the best. From the first day I arrived my wife and I were yelling all day. We were trying to talk to them but we couldn’t hear any sound”.
