Eastern Mediterranean at the center of the tripartite meeting of Cyprus-Greece-Egypt Defense Ministers

In Nicosia today is held the Tripartite meeting of the Ministers of Defense of Cyprus, Greece and Egypt.

At 15:00 noon, the Minister of Defense of Cyprus Charalambos Petridis will welcome his counterparts from Greece and Egypt, at the Landmark Hotel, according to the program announced by the ministry.

The tripartite consultation of the delegations of the Ministries of Defense of Cyprus, Greece and Egypt will begin at 15:30.

At 17:00, the three Ministers of Defense will sign a joint declaration, while at 17:15 they will give a joint press conference.

Defense Ministers Charalambos Petridis, Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos and General Mohamed Zaki are expected to discuss the latest developments in Eastern Mediterranean and the wider region as well as ways to further strengthen defense cooperation between the three countries.

Tomorrow (Thursday, May 20, 2021) the Ministers of Defense of Greece and Egypt will have separate meetings with the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiadis, as broadcast by AMPE.

As part of the ministers’ visit to Cyprus, bilateral meetings will be held between the delegations of the three countries.
