Who is Echo?
Maya López, known as Echo, is a heroine created by writer David Mack and cartoonist Joe Quesada. His first appearance was in December 1999 in a Daredevil comic. However, in the UCM she has been presented as a villain in the series Hawkeye, which airs on Disney Plus.
Echo is the daughter of Willie Lincoln, who was assassinated by the Kingpin, who in turn, in an act of kindness, adopted her and raised her into a deadly weapon, capable of mastering different types of martial arts. In the comics, Echo must change his identity to Ronin and joins the new Avengers.
An interesting fact is that Echo is deaf-mute and has developed his other senses to fight. In the comic, she is one of Marvel’s most powerful heroines. However, it is not known if it will be given the same development on screen.

Echo already made his first appearance in Hawkeye, but this will not be the only time we see it on screen, as the production is already preparing the spin-off, Echo: Showrunner. This project will allow us to learn more about the character and the development he will have.
