The total solar eclipse that will take place this Monday (8) has generated anticipation around the world. The phenomenon, which will only be visible in North America, will occur between 3:07 pm and 4:46 pm (Brasília time) and will be marked by the total blocking of sunlight caused by the Moon.
Despite not being seen in Brazil, Brazilians will be able to watch the event remotely. NASA will broadcast with comments from experts in English It is Spanish; and the National Observatory, a research unit of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, will carry out a live coverage with comments in Portuguese.
The eclipse has been portrayed many times throughout the history of cinema and, often, it is the main plot twist in the plots.

“Nomad” (no release date)
The science fiction film directed by Taron Lexton didn't even have an official release date, but it drew attention after the team released images of recordings made during a solar eclipse in 2019. The event lasted two minutes and 18 seconds and was recorded in the Elqui Valley , in Chile.
The film will feature British actor Leo Woodall, from “The White Lotus” and “Um Dia”, in the cast.
