Economy edits ordinance that changes the deadline for payment of amendments to the Budget

This Tuesday (14), the date on which the Chamber of Deputies promises to put the second part of the PEC dos Precatório to vote, an ordinance was published in an extra edition of the Federal Official Gazette (DOU), signed by the Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes.

The text of the ordinance changes the maximum date for the commitment of funds by the federal government.

With this, until December 31 of this year, it will be possible to pay funds from the 2021 Budget, such as parliamentary amendments.

Before, the deadline was December 10, which, according to sources heard by CNN Brazil, caused complaints among parliamentarians from the governing base.

Deputies would be complaining for not having received the amendments promised by the Executive due to the delay generated after more than a month of prohibition of the payment of rapporteur amendments by the Federal Supreme Court (STF).

According to parliamentarians interviewed by CNN Brazil, with the release, the government tries to agree for the approval of the PEC dos Precatórios.

Sources linked to the Ministry of Economy estimate that around R$ 6 billion will be transferred to parliamentarians by December 31st.
