Ecuadorian authorities have seized more than three tonnes of drugs in 16 operations over the past 24 hours, during which 15 suspects were arrested, police said on Saturday.
The resale value of the confiscated drugs is estimated at $ 7.8 million, police said via Twitter.
Ecuadorian law enforcement authorities seized a record 210 tonnes of drugs, mainly cocaine, in 2021, and have already seized more than 40 tonnes since the beginning of this year.
