Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew visited the grave of the blessed Pope Francis

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew prayed this afternoon at the tomb of the blessed Pope Francis, in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, in the center of Rome. The predecessor of Orthodoxy put white flowers on the marble slab of the austere memory and prayed in favor of the rest of his soul’s soul. He then had a brief conversation with Cardinal, in charge of Basilica dedicated to Virgo. Answering a question from RES-EIA, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew stressed: “Today (ed: yesterday) this morning, as I am in Rome for the enthronement of his holiness of Pope Leo, before I left, I wanted to visit him. With Pope Francis, I had a close friendship and cooperation for the good of our churches, for the good of all Christianity and all of humanity throughout his papacy.
