When giving details about his home in England, singer Ed Sheeran revealed that he had his own tomb built in the residence.
However, the musician denied that it is a crypt. In fact, the information that he had requested authorization to build a crypt in the basement of a chapel on the property, located in Suffolk, began to circulate in the British press in 2022.
“I wouldn’t say it’s a crypt. It’s a hole dug in the ground with a piece of stone on top, so when the day comes and I die, I can stay there”, said the artist in a recent interview with “GQ” magazine.
Ed also said he has a chapel in the area. According to the outlet, he wanted a space to pray for friends and loved ones who died and were cremated.
As the British man found the place beautiful, he decided to build a tomb there “so that his children could go and remember him”.
“People think it’s very strange and morbid, but I’ve had friends who died without a will and no one knows what to do,” he concluded.
