Each Italian citizen produces on average 488 kilograms of waste per year. Although the national production of municipal waste in 2020 fell by 3.6% compared to the previous year, these numbers are impressive. And the Italians realize it: an Ipsos research conducted in 2020 has identified among the main environmental issues to be faced as a country, that of “Deal with the amount of waste we generate”.
