Edu Guedes and Ana Hickmann revealed details of the marriage proposal that took place in June this year in a video published on the chef’s YouTube channel.
The proposal took place during a trip the couple made to Lisbon. In the images, the two appear during a romantic dinner while Ana says: “Now tell me what you just did. Tell me what you did that left me breathless, crying and emotional? It was the most beautiful thing in the world.”
“At lunchtime I gave you a surprise. I didn’t even know I was going to do it at that time,” Edu said. To which Ana added: “You gave me a card.”
“A letter. A love letter. With some flowers. I went to the supermarket to buy the flowers, but I couldn’t find a florist,” he said, laughing.
Hickmann continued: “Which I’m not going to share, because that [carta] It’s just mine. At the end of that letter it said ‘PS Will you marry me?’ And I said yes!”
Having been together since March of this year, the couple began dating in December 2023, after Ana Hickmann faced a turbulent divorce from Alexandre Corrêa.
In April, Edu Guedes stated, in an interview with Rede TV, that he was already planning to ask the presenter to marry him in a special place.
“It will happen one day, for sure. We’re taking things step by step. It took us a few months to say that we were really dating,” said the presenter at the time.
