Eduardo Costa will raise almost R$1 million after criticizing the Rouanet Law

Eduardo Costa will raise R$996,500 until December, through the Rouanet Law, after the company of a partner from the country singer proposes a project to pay homage to the traditional music of Minas Gerais. The intention is to record a DVD using typical national music instruments such as viola and guitar. Although he was allowed to get the amount, in the past, the artist criticized the culture incentive law.

A supporter of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), he even stated that the Rouanet Law was only for journalists, actors and even artists, “scumbags”. Like other supporters of the former president, Eduardo Costa declared that the law made these people want to “suck at the teats” of the federal government.

During the campaign for then-candidate Bolsonaro, the countryman stated: “Whoever wants to make money now will look for a service. he’s going to weed a lot, he’s going to hit a slab, he’s going to hunt for something to do. The bullshit, the naughtiness is over. No more Rouanet Lei money.”

“These artists, actors, bunch of naughty journalists who want to suck on the government’s teats, the sucking, the naughtiness is over”, he reaffirmed. Now, the singer will be financed by law for the project “Eduardo Costa – The instrumentalist and the viola fashions of Minas”.

The proponent of the plan is the company Churrasco, Cerveja e Viola, CCV Eventos and the highlighted objective is “the recording of a DVD with country songs in homage to country roots music, which has traditionally become a symbol of man’s daily life from the countryside, from the tropeiros and is part of a rich history told in verse and prose in the state of Minas Gerais”.

The proposal also highlights that the presentations will be free, and will also be made available on the internet to further democratize the project. The idea is to hold two shows in Belo Horizonte. The information revealed by the newspaper “Metrópoles” was confirmed by CNN Brasil through the Rouanet transparency portal.
