This Tuesday (16), it has been a year since Pix began to be used in Brazil. According to the Central Bank, in this period, almost 46 million people, who previously did not make bank transfers, started to use the new payment tool frequently.
Mega vaccination
The Minister of Health, Marcelo Queiroga, launches the Mega Vaccination campaign in Brasília. The objective is to mobilize the population about the importance of completing the vaccination schedule against Covid-19. So far, 58.6% of Brazilians are fully immunized.
Enem
The Education Commission of the Federal Chamber decides on Tuesday (16) whether or not it will summon the Minister of Education, Milton Ribeiro, to provide clarification on the Enem. The calculation is made by the analyst of the CNN Leandro Resende. The deputies want to know how the government is interfering with the test and why INEP’s employees filed a massive resignation last week.
Covid-19 in Europe
Due to the significant increase in the number of Covid-19 cases, some European countries are tightening restrictions again. According to the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, the situation in ten countries was classified as “very high concern”.
Christmas basket
The price of the Christmas basket in Brazil has already risen 5.91% this year, according to a previous survey carried out by the Economic Research Institute Foundation (Fipe). At the end of last year, the basket cost around R$310. This year it is going out for R$328, on average. Traditional Panettone was the product that had the biggest increase in price: almost 26%.
