Education companies had to reinvent themselves during the pandemic

The education market has undergone important transformations in the last two years. From the implementation of new technologies focused on student well-being, to structure and learning challenges, the industry is trying to find ways to navigate the post-pandemic reality.

In this context, experts consulted by the CNN made projections about the future of education and the role of companies in the country, showing how this market can help move the country’s economy.

opportunities and challenges

According to Eduardo Tesche, partner at EY Parthenon, companies in the sector are affected by the uncertainties of the sector, and they need to find alternatives to survive and adapt to this new reality in a responsible way — and also profitably.

“Companies today have an important difficulty in differentiating themselves, in being able to attract students and in making that student profitable for the institution”, says Tesche.

“It all depends on how long the student stays at the institution, and with very high dropout rates, you find it difficult to monetize this,” he says.

Even so, it is still possible to generate good results and add value to society. Marcelo Battistella Bueno, founder and CEO of Ânima Educação, one of the main private education groups in Brazil, shares the company’s experience: “today, we reach more than 400,000 Brazilian students spread over 75% of the national territory”, reveals Battistella.

“It is indeed possible to deliver quality education with scale”.

This Sunday’s edition (9) of CNN Soft Business focuses on the education market in Brazil, revealing the novelties in the education system, driven by the growing presence of technologies, presenting the sector’s relationship with the financial market.
