The city of São Paulo begins this Tuesday (16) to apply the booster dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 in education professionals. The first stage runs until November 22, when those aged between 40 and 59 will be able to receive the immunizing agent. For this, it is necessary to bring proof of employment relationship, in addition to an identity card or driver’s license, proof of address and vaccination card with the record of previous doses.
In the second stage, from November 22 onwards, workers in the sector from 18 years old will be able to receive the extra dose. The city of São Paulo estimates that the additional dose will be applied to more than 200 thousand professionals. The rule applies both to the municipal and state networks, as well as to the private one.
In addition to the education sector, the Metropolitan Civil Guard, municipal inspectors and burials are also entitled to a third dose throughout the city.
According to data from the city hall, São Paulo has 98% of adults vaccinated with both doses, or with a single dose immunizing agent, and 26% of adolescents.
Second survey of CNN, in addition to São Paulo, Belém is the second capital that starts this Tuesday the vaccination with the booster dose for education professionals. The city of Pará will also apply to any citizen who has already taken the two applications for at least six months.
