Terrifying scenes were recorded on Thursday in Egyptwhen a sandstorm swept a large part of the country in its wake with the report saying for a dead person and five wounded. The limited visibility caused them to be provoked several traffic accidents.
The areas affected by the sandstorm
“The worst affected areas were Cairo, Suez, Ismailia and the Sinai Peninsula,” said Iman Shaker, a spokeswoman for the Egyptian Meteorological Service.
He warned that the sandstorms will continue on Friday, while the mercury will exceed 40 degrees Celsius.
Video both from Cairo as well as from Suez Canal reflect the intensity of the phenomenon.
