EFA GROUP announces its turnover of 2021 and its new strategic investments for 2022

The turnover of the Greek group of companies EFA GROUP, which is active in the competitive market of aerospace, defense, new technologies and security for over 30 years, increased by 55% for 2021, compared to 2020. The financial results reflect the recognition of its products and systems by highly demanding customers worldwide, such as the US and German Armed Forces.

The orientation of the group is purely export with over 95% of its turnover coming from exports and international co-productions. In fact, based on the unfulfilled volume of signed contracts at the beginning of the year that exceeds € 320 million, the group expects an increase of 70% in 2022, with its turnover exceeding € 200 million per year.

The group expects high growth rates and the period 2023-2025 through increased sales, the full activation of its industrial collaborations in more than 8 countries, as well as its direct investment in 3 companies in the Greek market in the field of defense, security and new technologies.

During this period, EFA GROUP, based on its strategic planning, invests in its digital transformation, research and upgrading of the skills of all its human resources, which is expected to exceed 400 people by the end of 2022. Specifically:

THEON SENSORS strengthens its production unit through automation and full digitization programs. At the same time, it is in the process of producing at least 3 new man portable products of advanced generation, while it is expanding to platforms with emphasis on the utilization of thermal and other long-range sensors. By 2022, the company is expected to consolidate in the US and Germany based on specific investments and strategic partnerships, as well as co-production development in the UAE (a local co-production contract has already been signed before the summer) and Saudi Arabia, while the conclusion is expected. similar partnerships with at least 3 other countries in the Far East, certifying the international and competitive presence of the company.

EFA VENTURES strengthens its export orientation and implements industrial transformation programs at an international level. Its full “industrialization” begins with its entry into engine, helicopter and radar maintenance programs, while leading the affiliated companies AETHER and UCANDRONE, without any state or European assistance, to new export contracts and productions of more sophisticated air target systems and UAVs. . Relevant aerial tests have already begun.

SCYTALYS, in 2022, further consolidates its presence in the Far East, focusing on MIMS RANGER, which after its successful entry into the market, will be the pillar of the new development of the company in man portable regular systems that will combine nights vision and thermal products of THEON SENSORS as well as the unmanned flying systems of UCANDRONE. The goal of the company is to become, like THEON SENSORS, a leading company in its field within the next 2 years.

ES SYSTEMS, after more than 8 years of extensive investment in research and development, started in its new facilities extensive production of sensors, 90% of which are intended for export orders, which in fact increased by more than 60% in 2021. The company’s immediate plans are to invest with minority participation packages mainly in related small companies that specialize in the field of Artificial Intelligence, in order to expand the offered solutions with a combination of its Microelectromechanical (MEMS) sensors with Artificial Intelligence and other applications. . It is noted that ES-SYSTEMS is the only MEMS development and production company in Greece and one of the few in the world.

At the same time, in terms of its human resources, the EFA GROUP invests not only in increasing recruitment (aiming to reach 400 people), but mainly in the retraining of all its existing staff in a wide range of knowledge and skills related to in the acquisition of digital skills, learning foreign languages, enrichment of historical and other cultural knowledge that connects Greece with the understanding of different cultures, mainly in the Middle and Far East.
