An air of renewal and new arrivals has been blowing lately in the domestic online gambling industry as Greece seems to be attracting the interest of several international and not only providers, who are seeking to gain their own position in the market.
In this regard, one of the largest companies in Bulgaria, which has been present for several decades in the gambling and casino industry of the neighboring country, has recently applied for the necessary licenses to operate in the domestic world of iGaming.
The reason for Brobet Limited, which is behind the Efbet brand, by which it is known to the public. A few weeks ago, Brobet applied for a Type 1 and Type 2 license. Capital.gr at this stage the specific request is under the status of evaluation by the competent management of the National Gaming Control Commission (NGC), as defined by the procedure.
Note that the Type 1 license refers to a sports betting authorization while the Type 2 license allows the provider to host and conduct online casino games.
So, if it meets the conditions and receives the “green” light from the EEEP, it is not excluded then in the next period to launch in the Greek market, expanding the options that will now be available to users on the Internet.

Efbet has been the main sponsor of the Bulgarian Football League since 2019, a year in which the Bulgarian Football Federation announced that the name of the football department will be changed to efbet League after a sponsorship agreement was reached with the betting company.
Brobet Limited, registered in Malta, was founded in 2006 by brothers Tsvetomir and Boyan Naidenov and their father Stefan Naidenov. The family’s involvement in the gambling industry, however, goes back several years with the creation in 1990 of Columbia, the first casino-cafe in Bulgaria, which to this day is still part of the company’s activities.
In 2006, efbet received its first online sports betting license in Malta, while in 2011 it received a similar license in Bulgaria, making it the first licensed online betting agent in the country.
This was just the beginning of a development process, which in addition to the online presence includes more than 50 gambling halls in Bulgaria, while in 2014 a chain of sports bars (Sports Bars) was added to the network of casinos.
In 2018, Efbet officially entered the Romanian market, receiving online and terrestrial licenses, and has now opened a total of 7 gambling halls in the neighboring country, 6 of which are located in the capital, Bucharest.
In addition, in 2019 it received an online license in Spain and Serbia and now our country follows after the recent request submitted to the EEEP. However, apart from Brobet Limited, another company with the name Elladix has applied for an online license, which is currently being evaluated by the competent management of EEEP.
It is a company which is also registered in Malta with offices located in Santa Venera. Other companies appear at the same address, some of which are active in the entertainment and sports sector.
Elladix Limited, which was created about a year ago, does not show at least, so far, active functions and activities.
